Nylon Nut Drink Bag

Nut drink bags can be used to make a delicious beverage from a variety of nuts, but can also be used to germinate seeds, grains and legumes.

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup walnuts (raw almonds or other raw nuts)
• 2 cups water, preferably lukewarm
• 1 tsp raw honey or dark pure maple syrup
• 1/2 tsp. vanilla powder or pure vanilla extract

Instructions

Mix nuts and all other ingredients in a blender until smooth. Strain through bag and squeeze out as much liquid as possible from pulp.

Refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Use the pulp to thicken your favorite recipes, dehydrate it to make granola or simply feed it to the birds.

To make a chocolate drink, add 1 tbsp cocoa nibs and 1 tbsp agave nectar or raw honey.

Cleaning the Sprout Master Nylon Nut Drink Bag

To clean, invert bag to empty contents, then wash with a drop of dishwashing soap and 1/2 ounce of 3% food-grade hydrogen peroxide added to one liter of water. Hang to dry.
