Description

Native to southern Europe and western Asia, it is widely cultivated in temperate countries for its leaves and their aromatic and medicinal qualities. In perfumery, sage is used as a fixative. The essential oil is obtained by distilling the leaves and flowers.

Use

Clary Sage essential oil is used in aromatherapy to help relieve menstrual cramps (PMS), menopausal symptoms and as a nerve calming agent.

Dosage

Topical (Adults): Mix 1 to 2 drops in 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) of vegetable oil; apply topically, 3 times a day.

Inhalation (Nervous system): Add 4 to 12 drops to a bowl of warm water or diffuser. Inhale slowly for 5-10 minutes.
