Theracurmin represents a major breakthrough in curcumin pharmacology. Studies on humans and animals have shown that this preparation has no side effects and gives significantly better results than other curcumin products. The first step in its manufacture is to solubilize curcumin in a vegetable gum known as ghatti gum. Next, the mixture is wet-ground to produce microscopic particles 100 times smaller than those of ordinary curcumin powder. A homogenizer then disperses these particles to form a colloidal suspension that mixes easily with water. The reduction in particle size, combined with increased solubility, ensures that a therapeutically effective dose of curcumin is absorbed into the bloodstream, where it remains for hours.
