Old-fashioned laxative

Used in phytotherapy as a stimulant laxative, for short-term relief of occasional constipation and to facilitate intestinal evacuation (by acting directly on the large intestine).

Medicinal ingredients

Cascara sagrada (Frangula purshiana, aged bark).............100 mg

Fierce aloe (Aloe ferox, Leaf)..............................................83 mg

Slippery elm (Ulmus rubra, Inner bark (stem))......................20 mg

Non-medicinal ingredients

Canola oil, Canadian fir needle oil, white beeswax, purified water, activated charcoal, capsule - gelatin.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents 12 years and over: 1-2 capsules 1 time a day. Allow 6 to 12 hours for laxative effects to take effect. Take two to three times a week. If the desired effect is not obtained, take up to one dose per day. Take a few hours before or after taking medication or health products. Take a single dose at bedtime. Consult a health care practitioner if use continues beyond 7 days.

Warnings

Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root, any other drug or health product that may aggravate imbalanced blood levels.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Do not use if you are suffering from abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhea.

abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with loss of water and electrolytes, or diarrhea.
KNOWN ADVERSE REACTION: Hypersensitivity may occur. If so, discontinue use.
Normal storage conditions (dry, well-ventilated premises and adjoining land between 15 and 25°C).
