The Balsam Fir is a large tree that can reach 20 meters in height and live between 70 and 150 years. Native to North America, it is found mainly in northern Quebec. Amerindians already used it in their pharmacopoeia and considered it the most vigorous and robust of conifers. A Christmas tree par excellence for its pleasant fragrance and the fact that it keeps its needles longer once cut, it is nicknamed the king of forests. Its essential oil evokes walks in the fresh air.
Balsam Fir essential oil is used in aromatherapy to help relieve muscle and joint pain associated with sprains, strains and rheumatoid arthritis.
