Gardening tips
Perennial. Sow poppy seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost, or directly in the garden after the last frost. Plant in full sun or part shade, spacing plants 30 to 45 cm apart. Poppy prefers well-drained soil and tolerates dry conditions well once established. Prune off spent flowers to encourage prolonged flowering, and leave a few flowers to go to seed for spontaneous sowing.
