Humble, chips in tune with the times
Humble is a young Canadian company based in Guelph, Ontario. Alicia and Jeff, keen to contribute to a healthy, environmentally-friendly lifestyle, took the initiative after the birth of their child to create their own company. From the outset, their ambition was clear: to bring light snacks to market, made with 100% organic ingredients, and opting for packaging that had no negative impact on the planet.
Chips with organic ingredients
Light and crunchy, Humble chips chips are made with 100% organic ingredients. These include potatoes, of course, but also sunflower oil and canola oil. "We've always wanted to create a thin-cut, organic potato chip". say Alicia and Jeff.
Solving the packaging issue
For several years, Humble had been working on the development of a compostable bag to package its potato chips. The company's ambition was to find a sustainable solution to the millions of plastic bags used in North America to package snacks.
The process, fraught with pitfalls and challenges, culminated in a partnership in 2024 with Plastic Negative. Plastic Negative's mission is to reduce plastic consumption and actively eliminate plastic waste from the environment.
