Curious, human and dynamic, she is passionate about global health. She wants to understand why certain imbalances occur and prevent people from experiencing optimal well-being.
Her versatility makes her at ease with different types of clientele. Her experience in health food stores, massage therapy and youth centers helps her to guide her customers towards an ideal lifestyle.
Marie-France has joined theLa Boite à Grains du Plateauteam in 2022. Don't hesitate to ask her for advice on your next visit!
She loves working with young, dynamic clients who are curious to understand the causes of their imbalances and eager to get involved in transforming their lifestyle. She offers her support by explaining the importance of healthy lifestyle habits and suggesting natural tools for a return to optimal well-being.
Marie-France's passion for health began with sport at the age of 13. She discovered Olympic boxing, which was to prove decisive in her career. Several years of competition led to 2 Canadian championship titles, and she learned a great deal about movement, sport and the effect of diet on athletic performance.
Her thirst for adventure inspired her to travel to many countries around the world. With her backpack, she discovers different cultures, customs and ways of doing things, notably in Central America, South-East Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
In 2006, she obtained her diploma in Police Technique and practiced this profession for 5 years in her native Quebec City. Her need to help was not fully fulfilled in this job. At the same time, she experienced a number of health imbalances that prompted her to ask questions, and her interest in health, starting with her own, grew daily.
In 2012, pregnant with her first daughter, she moved to Montreal, where she began a double return to school, in massage therapy and naturopathy. A year later, she was able to start practising massage therapy and continued her longer studies in naturopathy.
To feed her passion (and finance her studies ;)) she works part-time at La Parapharmacie de Montréal, immersing herself in the world of natural products.
In 2015, she began offering workshops and conferences on various health topics already covered in her naturopathy curriculum. Her partnership with the community organization Entre-Mamans et Papas is ideal and gives her the opportunity to give 2 to 3 series of workshops each year, with young parents curious to learn about global health. She explores with them themes such as nutrition, essential oils, natural pharmacy, breastfeeding health and more.
In 2018, she is focusing on her internships as well as writing her final-year summaries, which cover 6 different topics:
After 7 and a half years and 2,000 hours of hard study, she sees her efforts rewarded with her diploma in her pocket in December 2018. She thus meets the requirements of thehe Association des Naturopathes Agréés du Québec (ANAQ) and passed the entrance exam to obtain the title of Naturopathe Diplômée (ND).
In 2019, alongside the start of her private practice, she joins the team at the Rawdon Integral Fasting Center, where her work involves supervising fasters during their stay at the center. She ensures that their fasting is the best possible experience. She also gives health lectures and meets a host of interesting people who enrich her learning.
In the midst of a pandemic, she is forced to leave the fasting center she loves. Practice and online workshops begin at this time, so she can offer her expertise to people outside Montreal.
In 2020, she joins the TAU Markets team at the Brossard branch a few days a week. There, she also offers one-to-one meetings, enabling her to see many customers, broaden her practice and deepen her knowledge of the natural products on the market.
In 2022, she left the metropolitan area to settle in Gatineau with her 2 grown-up daughters and her husband. She joined the great team at La Boite à GrainsShe works as a consultant at the Plateau branch, offering various types of workshops and one-on-one sessions.
She also took on a new challenge, writing articles for the La Boite à Grains.
She also launches her naturopathy in the workplace service, enabling employers to offer wellness conferences to their employees. The aim is to prevent absenteeism, contribute to staff retention and improve work performance.
Starting in 2023, it will also help train new consultants in the 4 La Boite à Grains branches in the Outaouais region. She also returns to her old love, giving boxing lessons at the Sporthèque de Hull.
