Ingredients
- 1 block of GUSTA Kebab-Shawarma seitan bread with oriental spices
- Or 1 block of GUSTA Classico seitan roast with traditional spices
- We have used the GUSTA Kebab-Shawarma seitan bread with oriental spices
Marinade
- ¼ cup olive oil
- Juice of half a lemon
- 6 fresh mint leaves
- 2 garlic cloves
Topping suggestions
- Hummus and/or baba ganouj
- Tzatziki
- Pita bread
- Romaine lettuce, spinach and/or arugula
- Cherry tomatoes
- Red onion slices
- Marinated artichokes
- Lemon wedges
- Greek olives
Démarche
- Slice seitan into ¼-inch-thick strips.
- Place seitan slices in a square container and cover with marinade.
- Refrigerate for 4 hours.
- Preheat oven to 425oF or BBQ.
- Slice marinated seitan strips into triangles. Assemble skewers using 10 to 12 pieces of pre-cut seitan. Baste skewers with marinade.
- Grill skewers for 20 minutes in the oven or 6 minutes on the BBQ.
- Meanwhile, arrange a Mediterranean platter with garnishes of your choice.
- Serve seitan brochettes on pita bread or a bed of greens.
