Bach Flower No.12 - Gentian is a flower remedy for people who lack perseverance in the face of challenges. This elixir helps to regain determination.
Gentian, a Bach flower full of determination
Gentian actually refers to some thirty species of flower found throughout Europe. Sometimes cultivated in gardens, it is above all a wild plant. Often with a deep, rich blue color, it is a real eye-catcher. With its long, tubular corolla, its shape is also quite distinctive, resembling a trumpet. It usually measures between fifteen and twenty centimetres and usually grows in groups.
The Bach Gentian flower is a strong plant, able to adapt to sometimes difficult soils, particularly limestone, as it is found mainly in mountain meadows, but also on cliffs and dunes. It also has a remarkable ability to adapt. In fact, it closes in on itself when it rains or feels a cold snap coming on. This movement can be very rapid when necessary, lasting only twenty seconds or so. In order to survive, it can remain closed for a long time, until the temperature rises or the rain stops. It then opens its petals to the sun, determined to soak up the warmth.
