Bach Flower Cherry Plum: for self-control
Bach Flower Cherry Plum contains an aqueous extract of Prunus cerasifera. In common parlance, it's known as cherry plum, myrobolan plum or simply "myrobolan". Native to South-West Asia and South-East Europe, it grows as a shrub, reaching between five and ten meters in height at maturity. Its five-petal flowers with golden stamens and oval, serrated leaves cover its bare branches in late winter or early spring.
The bright white clusters of flowers are a striking contrast to the dark branches of the Myrobolan plum, literally lighting up the darkness. Towards the end of summer, the shrub then loads up with red, cherry-like fruit. Edible, they are often used to make jam.
Hardy, Prunus cerasifera tolerates temperatures well below 0°C. It can be grown in almost any type of soil (including limestone), as long as it enjoys a sunny spot. In France, it is often used as rootstock for other types of plum, such as the Damask plum.
