Green Beaver was founded on the belief that human beings can live happily and healthily from the riches provided by Mother Nature.
We make it a priority to use only locally-grown, organic ingredients wherever possible. By doing so, we reduce energy consumption and waste production, while encouraging Canadian farmers to use organic farming methods.
The truth is, we all have the ability to act on industries that have a negative impact. We can do so through the choices we make in our consumer products.
At Green Beaver, we use no synthetic substitutes. For example, we use only natural vitamin E instead of chemically manufactured vitamin E, even though this would reduce our costs and increase our profitability.
This doesn't fit in with what we believe in, which is the use of ingredients manufactured by "green technology", i.e. natural ingredients that are as effective as synthetic ones, but without any toxins.
We are against the experimentation and slaughter of animals for production purposes. Everything we do is pro-vegan, except for our lip balms, which contain organic beeswax from Dan and Nina's Hockley Valley Honey Farm.
Finally, we believe in making products that can be used safely by everyone. That's why all our products are gluten-free, and nut-free except for our eye make-up remover.
In other words, our philosophy is to live healthily and happily, and that's exactly what we intend to do.
