Psyllium Capsules from Now help relieve constipation. Although some believe psyllium is classified as a laxative or mucilaginous fiber, it is a true dietary fiber.

Psyllium makes it easy to increase your intake of dietary fiber due to its high mucilage content. The initial size of this bulking agent increases considerably when liquid is added.

What's more, it promotes healthy gastrointestinal transit. This swelling and healthy gastrointestinal transit play an important role in maintaining healthy gastrointestinal function. Two tablespoons provide 8 grams of fiber.

Ideal users:

Adults suffering from constipation and irregularity.

Psyllium husk (Plantago ovata) (Poison) ... 500 mg
Veg Capsule (hypromellose, water) and stearic acid (vegetable source).
Adults and adolescents (≥ 13 years) Dosage: Take 2 capsules 3 times a day with 30 ml of liquid. Maintain adequate fluid intake. Take 2 hours before or after taking other medications. Effects observed 12 to 24 hours after first dose and may take 2 to 3 days.

Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or if the laxative effect does not occur within seven days. Consult a health care practitioner immediately if you experience chest pain, vomiting or difficulty swallowing or breathing after taking this product. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you experience symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever (as these may be signs of abnormal constriction of the gastrointestinal tract, esophageal and cardiac diseases), potential or existing intestinal blockage, bowel paralysis, megacolon, fecal impaction, inflamed bowel or appendicitis), or if you are taking medications that inhibit peristaltic movement. Do not use if you have difficulty swallowing, if you have diabetes mellitus in which blood sugar is difficult to regulate or if you have had a sudden change in bowel habits for more than 2 weeks, undiagnosed rectal bleeding or defecation after using another laxative product. Hypersensitivity, such as allergy, is known to occur following inhalation and/or ingestion of psyllium. In this case, discontinue use. May cause temporary gas and/or bloating.
