Cuisine Soleil stone-ground buckwheat flour is made from buckwheat grown in Canada (Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick).
It's a rustic, gray flour, finely speckled with black.
Buckwheat flour is of course used to make crêpes and galettes. It's a healthy flour thanks to the presence of rutin, an antioxidant flavonoid.
