Jardins de l'Écoumène's organic Cylindra beet is an ancient variety that produces an elongated red cylindrical root that's easy to peel, with fine, very sweet flesh. The roots form quickly for an early harvest, and store well.

Watering in dry periods is important, as roots that lack water will deform and crack.
