The organic La Pasquale tomato from Jardins de l'Écoumène has firm, juicy flesh with very few seeds. Its moderate acidity is very pleasant. The large, more or less conical fruits measure around 7-8 cm long and form clusters of 5 to 10 tomatoes.
The moderate-growing plant reaches 1.2-1.5 m in height in one season in Quebec. Harvesting normally begins around the end of August. For field-grown plants, it's advisable to pick them as soon as they turn red, as they become brittle as they ripen. It also grows well in greenhouses.
In the kitchen, La Pasquale tomatoes are ideal for coulis, sauces, pastas, salads, sandwiches and more.
