Organic red quinoa seeds.
Rinse in cold water. Sauté quinoa grains in a little olive oil, 1 to 2 minutes. For 1 cup of quinoa, add 1.5 cups of water. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and cook uncovered for 12 to 15 minutes (or until all water is absorbed).
Do I need to rinse the quinoa?
Quinoa has a protective coating called saponin, which gives it a bitter taste. We ensure that effective methods are used to pre-wash quinoa. However, the level of bitterness differs from crop to crop, so we strongly recommend that you always rinse quinoa well before cooking.
