Sugar Snap peas can be sown early in the spring, as the seeds germinate in cold, wet soil. Shortly after sowing, the stalks emerge from the soil and bolt up against trellises and nets, quickly covering them. Fruit production starts quickly and continues over a long period through the summer heat.
