Headaches, mild gastrointestinal disturbances (e.g. nausea), heart palpitations or hyperactivity/insomnia may occur. The use of ashwagandha with alcohol or other drugs and natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended.
Do not use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or other drugs that may aggravate electrolyte imbalance, or if you suffer from any of the following conditions: hypokalemia, high blood pressure, kidney or cardiovascular disorders, bipolar spectrum disorders.
