Start seeds for winter squash indoors 3 weeks before transplanting. Sow two seeds per cell or pot. Transplant on warm days and frost-free nights. Space plants 2' apart in the row and 5-6' between rows. Take care to handle the roots as little as possible when transplanting. Water abundantly after transplanting.
