Medicinal ingredients
One teaspoon of powder contains : Plantago ovata, Psyllium (seed pod) 2915 mg, Cichorium intybus, Chicory (root) 302 mg, Glycyrrhiza glabra, Licorice (root) 250 mg, Pimenta dioica, Allspice (fruit) 129 mg, Medicago sativa, Alfalfa (herb) 45 mg, Althaea officinalis, Marshmallow (root) 28 mg, Hamamelis virginiana, Hamamelis (leaf) 24 mg, Ulmus rubra, Slippery elm (bark) 17 mg, Allium sativum, Garlic (bulb) 14 mg, Passiflora incarnata, Passionflower (herb) 14 mg.
Dosage
Adults : 1 teaspoon twice a day. Mix with at least 100 ml of liquid. Shake vigorously and drink immediately. Drink sufficient liquid. Wait 2 hours before and after taking other medications. Effects observed within 12 to 24 hours after 1st dose, and sometimes after 2 to 3 days. Consult a health-care practitioner for use beyond 4-6 weeks.
Precautions and warnings
Do not use if seal is broken. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or if constipation persists after 7 days of use. Consult a health care practitioner immediately if you experience chest pain, vomiting, difficulty swallowing or difficulty breathing after taking this product.
Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking medication or any other natural health product; if you have diabetes, gallstones, liver, cardiovascular or kidney disorders; or if you experience abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you suffer from swallowing disorders.
Do not use if you have observed changes in bowel habits for more than 2 weeks, if you have undiagnosed rectal bleeding or if taking another laxative has not resulted in defecation. An allergy may occur. If so, discontinue use. May cause flatulence and/or bloating.
