Favorable associations:
GUIMAUVE infusion for irritated and inflamed mucous membranes. Drink 1 liter daily.
ORME infusion for irritated and inflamed mucous membranes. Mix 1 tablespoon in water or juice. Do not strain.
PULMONATHE infusion for inflammation of the upper respiratory tract. Drink 1 to 2 cups daily.
ECHINACEA tincture for infections.
HYDRASTE tincture for viral infections.
CAMOMILE infusion for inflammation of the upper respiratory tract. Drink 2 to 3 cups a day.
Blend synergy :
Licorice's saponins also help expectorate mucus by emulsifying it, making it easier to eliminate. Licorice also heals the mucous membranes of the throat.
Slippery elm is a gentle, nutritious plant used to treat digestive mucosa. Slippery elm contains mucilage, which gives it its softening and emollient properties.
Marshmallow is an emollient plant of prime importance; its mucilages form a protective layer and it is used in all conditions where there is dryness, irritation or inflammation of the mucous membranes.
Mullein tones mucous membranes, reducing inflammation and secretions without drying out the mucous membranes.
An astringent and stimulating plant, mullein is used in in-depth treatments for its stimulating properties, or as a punctual treatment in cases of catarrh and sore throat.
In this blend, cayenne is used to reduce pain, fight infection and promote healing.
