Hydrating, nutritious and energizing, fresh squeezed juices consumed on a regular basis provide great benefits to the body; such as more stable energy levels, quality sleep, clearer complexion, better digestion, brighter eyes and the list goes on... I love to pass the slightly less fresh fruits and vegetables that are in my kitchen to juice and drink my daily dose of vitality.

This green juice is ideal to consume after sports, as it provides the body with a good amount of electrolytes, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. chlorophyllminerals and enzymes. I particularly like this recipe which is pleasant in the mouth thanks to its very soft flavors.

I invite you to try this juice either after a workout, a yoga practice or even on an empty stomach in the morning; the body will absorb all the vitamins of the juice more adequately at that time.

It is also one of my favorite juices because it is full of good stuff. The cucumber is a good source of minerals, the kale is full of chlorophyll and amino acids, the apples are an incredible source of potassium, and the lemon provides a very alkaline and restorative effect.

To make this recipe, you need a juicer; I prefer the "slow juicers"like the Hurom and the Omega. These allow extraction without heat with a jaw-like action. The juice can be kept for 3 days in the refrigerator. If this kind of juicer is too expensive, there are now several models of juicers that do the job efficiently and at prices that suit all budgets.

Ingredients

  • 1 cucumber
  • 3 apples
  • 2 large branches of kale
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 oranges

 

Preparation

  1. Wash your fruits and vegetables with a little vinegar, especially if they are not organic and if you do not peel them.
  2. Using a juicer, squeeze the juice from the oranges and lemons. It is better to do this and then mix the juice with the rest of the citrus fruit than to put them in the extractor, which would give them a bitter taste.
  3. Put all the other ingredients in the juicer. Mix this juice with the orange juice and you're done!
