To better understand the story of Zorah, we first have to travel to Morocco, home to the argan tree, which gives life to argan oil. It was during an end-of-study internship in the Maghreb in 2006 that Mélissa Harvey, president and founder of Zorah. In the process, she became better acquainted with argan oil and its many virtues, including cosmetics. One thing led to another, and the Zorah company was born, forging strong links between Quebec and Morocco, and offering a selection of beauty and skincare products using 100% natural and organic ingredients.
Melissa explains: "Argan oil is known for its antioxidant, moisturizing and healing properties. It is used in Morocco for its therapeutic effects, such as treating eczema, rosacea, healing, or simply nourishing the epidermis and regulating the vital functions of the sebaceous glands.".1 Firmly rooted in Quebec but with no shortage of ambition, Zorah intends to "conquer two countries a year and become the world leader with our cosmetics".1
Long live this exemplary Quebec company!
