Home Squares and crisps Recipe: squares with nut butter and jam Recipe: squares with nut butter and jam by La Boite à Grains 05 Jun 2024 Ingredients 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats 1/4 cup all-purpose whole-wheat flour (or gluten-free flour) 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 teaspoon sea salt 2/3 cup natural nut butter of your choice (e.g. peanut butter, cashew butter) 6 to 8 tablespoons maple syrup (to taste) 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 jar (235 ml) fruit jam (your choice) Preparation Preheat oven to 350 F and grease an 8" square baking sheet. In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, baking soda and salt. In a small bowl, stir the nut butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture is smooth and lumpy. Reserve 1/2 cup of dough for finishing. Spread remaining dough evenly on baking sheet. Spread jam over dough. Crumble dough reserved for top. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
