In 2024, Alexandre Savard succeeded Pierre Ménard and became the owner and CEO of La Boite à Grains.
This is an important moment in the history of La Boite à Grains. In August 2024, Pierre Ménard, who had served as president since the opening of the first store on Saint-Joseph Boulevard in 1980, passed the torch to Alexandre Savard, the new owner and CEO. This transition marks a new phase in the succession plan that began in 2016. “This is a fresh start for La Boite à Grains. Our health food stores have grown significantly, and our goal is to continue our expansion while maintaining our authenticity and values, all the while remaining open to new opportunities,” says Alexandre Savard.
After joining La Boite à Grains in 2010, Alexandre Savard became its CEO in 2014. Passionate and versatile, with a close relationship with his teams, he is actively involved in community life. “One of the things we’re most proud of is contributing to Gatineau’s economic growth and ensuring that La Boite à Grains remains owned by local stakeholders.”
