Xanthan gum adds volume and creaminess to breads, pastas and other gluten-free dishes you cook. This natural thickener can also be used as a binding and/or thickening agent in sauces, dressings and creams. GMO-free, no preservatives.
Founded in 2005 in Montreal, Cannelle Boulangerie integrates gluten-free ingredients into its sliced breads, specialty breads and desserts.
Xanthan gum.
Use 1 teaspoon of xanthan gum per 100 g of flour, or add the equivalent of 2% of the flour weight.
Store in a cool, dry place.
Caution: Used in excess, xanthan gum will make your baked goods gummy or slimy. If this happens with the suggested quantities, reduce the quantity next time.
