Sana, chocolate for well-being
Combining indulgence and well-being: a fine ambition that gave birth in 2019 to the Kétolat company, which has since become Sana. At the helm of this Quebec-based company is Véronique Giroux, who embarked on this family adventure with her partner Danny and son Emrick. "I was diagnosed with Lupus in 2018, which led me to change certain lifestyle habits, including my diet. Reducing my sugar intake and increasing good lipids has enabled me to achieve a very good life balance." says Véronique when asked to describe the foundations of Sana.1
No-sugar-added chocolate specialties
What's special about Sana? To offer chocolate bars and other creations with no added sugar. Sugar alternatives such as erythritol are used to satisfy the sweet tooth, all guilt-free. What began as an unpretentious personal project quickly turned into an entrepreneurial challenge, in Quebec and beyond.2 This is thanks to the craze for the ketogenic diet, and more generally for a more controlled consumption of sugar. "Sana started out as just an idea, and has now become, to everyone's delight, a world where the pleasure of eating and respect for your well-being come together." explains Véronique Giroux.1
