Interview with Cyrus Kuhrazani from Pure Lab Vitamins
How did the Pure Lab Vitamins adventure begin?
Cyrus Kuhrazani : Pure Lab Vitamins was founded in 2010, but its raison d'être goes back much further. My mother was a pharmacist, my father a doctor, and I myself studied pharmacy in Düsseldorf, Germany, before becoming a galenic pharmacist. My family has always been open-minded and critical, and when I came to Canada in 2000, I was lucky enough to join a pharmacy in Ottawa that focused on nutrition. This reinforced my idea of developing natural alternatives.
How to act effectively to reduce chronic pain has always been an area of interest for me. By doing a lot of research on the subject, I was able to see the importance played by the magnesium glycinatea special form of magnesium which helps to relax muscles and dramatically reduce muscular pain. I worked on a formula that quickly aroused interest. Pure Lab Vitamins was born.
What 3 words best describe Pure Lab Vitamins?
Cyrus Kuhrazani : I'd say high quality first, consistency and therapeutic value.
What values does Pure Lab Vitamins stand for?
Cyrus Kuhrazani : Diet, stress and lifestyle have a direct impact on our well-being and can be the cause of chronic illness. Being aware of this, and making the necessary changes where necessary, is often the key to seeing lasting improvements. Certain therapeutic nutrients can be of great help in this transition to better health, or simply in maintaining good health, and this is where our area of expertise lies.

When the pandemic hit the planet in 2020, many companies had to reinvent themselves. How did Pure Lab Vitamins cope?
Cyrus Kuhrazani : The whole supply chain was affected. With my team, we had to be tenacious and find solutions, and be able to adapt quickly to keep our business going.
But it must also be said that the pandemic has had the effect of raising general awareness: we can help our immune system through good nutrition and intelligent supplementation. And that's a good thing.
Magnesium glycinate is the first formula created by Pure Lab Vitamins. Can you tell us more about this product and for whom it is intended?
Cyrus Kuhrazani : It's important to know that between 80 and 90% of the population in North America suffers from magnesium deficiency, whether minor or more severe. This concerns almost everyone. The symptoms that can be associated are variable, such as muscle pain or cramps, migraine, constipation.
By regularly taking a bioactive, highly bioavailable source of magnesium, as is the case with magnesium glycinateYou'll notice an improvement in just a few days. Even for those with minor deficiencies, it makes a real difference.
Another interesting product is Bioactive B...
Cyrus Kuhrazani : B vitamins play an essential role in our bodies, and are one of the supplements to consider first. Our product combines bioactive forms of B vitaminswith a sustained-release formula. If you take one or two capsules in the morning, the benefits can be felt throughout the day.
What projects or new products can you tell us about?
Cyrus Kuhrazani : We're working to complete our range of natural products. We hope to be able to offer an omega-3 supplement by 2023. We will be presenting three new products, with calcium hydroxyapatite (a pure form of calcium)vitamin C powder (convenient for adding to smoothies or other beverages) and vitamin D 2500 IU.
Many thanks Cyrus Kuhrazani for answering our questions!
