We all know that breakfast is important for fueling up for the day. We will lose physical and mental efficiency later in the day if we don't consume a balanced ratio of nutrients first thing in the morning...
High-quality carbohydrates, such as those found in fruit, are an excellent source of fuel for our muscles as well as our brain. The brain needs simple carbohydrates to function efficiently. Remember: fruit eaten on its own will "burn" faster, resulting in a drop in energy. The solution is simple: accompany fruit with fiber, essential fatty acids and complete proteins. This prevents energy crashes. It's a way of ensuring constant energy for the body and brain without having to eat again before dinnertime. The most practical way is to breakfast with a nutrient-packed smoothie. Start with fresh fruit. Add a shape
alkaline vegetable protein for optimal results. Derived from different sources for amino acid balance,hemp protein, pea protein and rice protein make an excellent synergistic combination. Ground linseed is a good source of
source of essential fatty acids. As for fiber, it's found naturally in whole-food proteins, as well as in flaxseed, so there's no need to add it. For even more nutrients, add greens such as spirulina or a few kale leaves.
