Lactose intolerance

Intolérance au lactose - La Boite à Grains

If you suffer from lactose intolerance, you've probably already experienced gas, bloating, diarrhea and other uncomfortable side effects that follow the consumption of dairy products. You probably also have to live with the inconvenience of checking every label or taking lactase enzymes all the time. You may even have chosen to avoid all dairy products at all times rather than pay the high price of lactose-free products.

What you may not know is that SULMEDOL® from NOW® can make lactose intolerance disappear by reactivating your body's natural production of lactase; lactase being the enzyme that digests lactose. Imagine being able to consume delicious dairy products, without limits. True freedom.

What is lactose intolerance?

Some people lack the lactase needed to digest lactose, the milk sugar. Lactose intolerance does not involve the immune system, as does a food allergy such as milk allergy. Symptoms of lactose intolerance include gas, bloating, flatulence, stomach upset, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting after consuming dairy products. Lactose intolerance usually affects individuals in their teens or later, and may be hereditary. It is more common in Native Americans and people of Asian, African and South American descent than in people of European origin. Symptoms of lactose intolerance may also increase with age.

Lactose intolerance - The true cost of current solutions

Most people think they manage their lactose intolerance well by following doctor's recommendations or their own solutions based on self-diagnosis: using lactase enzymes, eating lactose-free foods, or avoiding dairy products altogether. But these solutions come with real, hidden costs. Using lactase-containing products can bring relief for many, but can also cost up to $15 to $25 a month (up to $300 a year) depending on the amount of dairy consumption. If you don't, symptoms of lactose intolerance may persist.

Consumption of lactose-free foods requires extreme vigilance in reading food labels to ensure that the foods you choose do not contain dairy products. And foods from which lactose has been removed are more expensive and less tasty. Avoiding dairy products limits your food choices and complicates your daily routine because you have to continually check the ingredients in your food.

SULMEDOL®A new approach to the treatment of lactose intolerance

SULMEDOL ® is a unique form of the mineral sulfur, called sublimed sulfur. Sublimed sulfur (SULMEDOL®) is the first approved natural health product (NHP) known to activate lactase production in your intestines and restore the ability to digest lactose. This unique ability of sublimated sulfur was discovered by Dr. Khan Airudin MD of London, Ontario. SULMEDOL® is patented and approved in Canada for the restoration of lactose tolerance.

How does SULMEDOL® work?

In people with lactose intolerance, lactase production is too low to digest lactose properly, or is simply non-existent.

Sublimed sulfur appears to have a dual action in restoring lactose tolerance. 1) sublimed sulfur provides elements that are necessary for normal genetic function and for the reactivation of lactase production 2) sulfur is also involved in the synthesis of the amino acid, cysteine. Cysteine, attached to specific sites in the proteins used to produce lactase, enables the formation of the enzyme's correct three-dimensional structure.

By reactivating the genes for lactase production and providing the essential elements to create the protein involved in lactase production, SULMEDOL® can help restore and maintain lactose tolerance.

How long will it take for my lactose intolerance to be eliminated with SULMEDOL?

In most cases, just one bottle, a 50-day supply, is needed to restore lactose tolerance and allow you to enjoy dairy products again. Results may vary for each individual, depending on the severity of their condition. By taking just 1 capsule, twice a day, immediately after meals, symptoms of lactose intolerance should begin to disappear; usually in as little as two weeks, but up to 12 weeks. In some cases, low vitamin B12 levels can alter results. Vitamin B12 supplementation with Sulmedol® often brings good results. Results last an average of 52 weeks, at which point relapse may occur. Simply take another bottle and lactose tolerance will be restored.

Who should take Sulmedol?

Consult your healthcare professional before using Sulmedol if you are pregnant, diabetic or allergic to sulfites or sulfur-containing medications. Do not take Sulmedol if you are constipated, if you suffer from diarrhea unrelated to the consumption of milk and dairy products, or if you suffer from severe anemia, peptic ulcer disease or kidney or liver failure. Bloating or flatulence may occur during the first few days of treatment. Consult a health care practitioner if these symptoms persist.

You, your friends and family will once again be able to enjoy the nutritional value and delicious taste of dairy products. For the love of health and the love of dairy, choose Now® Sulmedol®.®.
