Turmeric paste
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup turmeric
- ½ cup filtered water
- ½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
Preparation:
- Mix all ingredients in a small saucepan
- Heat over medium heat for no more than 3 to 4 minutes, or until thickened.
- Leave to cool and store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 10 days.
Homemade cashew milk
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cashews
- 5 cups water
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 drizzle maple syrup
Preparation :
- Soak cashews for 30 minutes, rinse and drain.
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.
- Keep for 5 to 7 days in a Mason jar in the refrigerator.
Golden Milk
Ingredients:
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric paste
- 1 cup homemade cashew milk
- 1 tsp. coconut oil
- 1 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
- 1 pinch ground cardamom or cinnamon, to taste
- 1 pinch ground vanilla or ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- Maple syrup
Preparation:
- In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients and heat for a few minutes.
- Once heated, blend for a few seconds in a blender to emulsify.
