Vitamin C is perhaps the best known vitamin. It plays an important role in a host of metabolic functions, such as growth and repair of tissues, as well as the health of gums and teeth. Vitamin C also plays the role of an antioxidant and it strengthens the immune system. • Resveratrol can slow the effects of aging on the brain by increasing cognitive functioning and reducing the risk of dementia4.

Do you have to consume red wine to benefit from resveratrol? No. Food supplements offered in the market contain a quantity of resveratrol often concentrated that is found in red wine. In addition, the consumption of alcohol -free resveratrol is even healthier because alcohol, despite certain cardiovascular benefits, poses its own health risks. Also, whether you drink a glass of red wine or take a dietary supplement, the resveratrol remains a nutritious element which displays a huge potential for health.
