This perfect smoothie breakfast filled with berries is a balanced meal that's easy to prepare the day before, easy to drink (or eat!) and easy to transport. Ingredients
- ½ cup plain yogurt (or unsweetened coconut yogurt)
- 2 tablespoons whole chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 ½ cups unsweetened oat milk (click here for a recipe for homemade oat milk)
- 1 portion of Vega Sport berry-flavoured protein powder
- 1 cup fresh or frozen berries + a few for garnish
- ½ banana
- 1 cup of rolled oats (gluten-free if necessary)
Start
- Mix yogurt, chia seeds and maple syrup in a bowl. Allow to settle.
- Using a high-powered blender, blend the remaining ingredients, reserving a few berries for garnish. Blend for 30 to 60 seconds, until the berries have thawed and the oats are well blended.
- Divide the yogurt mixture between two medium-sized glasses.
- Gently pour the berry smoothie over the chia yogurt.
- Garnish with a few frozen or fresh berries.
- Drink through a straw or eat with a spoon.
- Keeps for 48 hours in the fridge.
