Quebec apple hollandaise crepe

Crêpe hollandaise aux pommes du Québec - La Boite à Grains

Approach

  • In a large skillet, melt butter or oil over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced Gala apples and the cinnamon. Stir and cover.
  • Cook apples for 10 minutes over medium-low heat until tender and golden.
  • Meanwhile, using a hand blender, blend the Gogo Quinoa Pancake Mix with the sugar, eggs, milk and oil until smooth.
  • Remove the lid from the pan and remove a dozen slices of well-cooked apple to garnish the crepe at the end of cooking.
  • Pour the pancake mixture evenly over the remaining apples and replace the lid. Cook for 15 minutes over medium heat.
  • Meanwhile, preheat oven to 550°C. oF under the toast ("broil") function.
  • After 15 minutes, remove the crêpe from the ring, garnish with apple slices and place the pan in the oven to broil for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Once golden-brown, serve immediately and divide into 6 equal portions.

    Storage 

    • This recipe for crêpe hollandaise with Quebec apples can be prepared ahead of time. It's delicious served warm for the evening. breakfast or as a dessert with vanilla ice cream.
