Turmeric Chai Latte without caffeine

To the delight of many, winter has bid farewell to spring. Even though we can't wait to get out the lighter clothes and sunscreen, there are still a few weeks of chilly weather on the horizon.

Spice up those last moments of coolness with a cup of turmeric chai latte.

Great for soothing the digestive tract, this turmeric chai latte is non-caffeinated and packed with anti-inflammatory spices that improve circulation and cardiovascular health.

Preparation: 2 minutes

Cooking time : 5 minutes

Servings: 1 cup


1 cup of water

1 whole cloves (or a pinch of ground cloves)

½ tablespoon of whole peppercorns

1 cinnamon stick

1 ½ teaspoons of ground ginger

2 teaspoons of ground cardamom

½ teaspoon of ground nutmeg

1 tablespoon ground turmeric

1 cup of milk or vegetable drink

2 teaspoons of honey


  1. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add the spices and turn off the heat. Remove the pot from the heat and let the infusion sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture through a sieve.
  4. Add the milk and honey and bring the tea to a boil.
  5. Remove immediately and serve hot.
