Ingredients
Smoothie
- 2 cups oat-flax drink * (see recipe)
- 1 teaspoonvanilla essence *
- 1 banana
- 1 cup fresh or frozen mangoes
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
*the oat-flax drink and vanilla essence can be replaced by 2 cups of unsweetened vanilla-flavored vegetable drink.
Topping
- 1/3 cup of pumpkin flax granola
- 1/4 cup of whole pecans
- 1/8 cup goji berries
Start
- For the smoothie, blend the vegetable drink, vanilla, fruit, chia and spices in a blender. Blend for 1 minute or until smooth.
- Divide smoothie between two bowls. Garnish with granola, nuts and berries.
